I can't decide which I love more, my completely remodeled kitchen, office, bathrooms and new bar or the guys from NY Design Build. One thing I am absolutely certain of is that I chose the right guys for this big job. And by the right guys, I mean every single man on the job. They took the ideas I had and turned them into fabulous designs and then made them a reality. I just couldn't be happier with the end result or the guys who made it happen.
The crew were all obviously experienced and skilled tradesmen and just genuinely nice guys. I work from home frequently and always felt completely comfortable alone in the house with them while they were getting it done. I also allowed the use of a lockbox so I didn't have to be home to let them in and there were no issues at all. Work schedules were always communicated and my calls were answered and messages promptly returned.
There were a couple of problems that came up during the course of the job, but they took care of it. There were no change orders or unexpected costs. They even took me shopping to pick out sinks, faucets, fixtures and even the exact whole slabs of granite that would be used for the counters, desk and bar, and really helped me to maximize what I got based on the detailed budget we had established for the project.
After meeting with a half dozen other contractors, I knew 20 minutes into my initial meeting with NY Design Build that they were without a doubt the best contractor I was ever going to find and I wasn't wrong. I would definitely hire them again.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this letter re: our-remodeling this past spring. We are really pleased with the outcome, the quality of the workmanship and especially the work done by Justin. Hardly a day goes by but what Carol doesn't comment on how pleased she is with the end result and the manner in which the work was done. In the past, when we have had work done by a tradesman or service company, we have come to expect delays, no-shows, and less than professional attitudes and workmanship. This was definitely not the case with Justin Toureje and Brian Young. From the start of planning to the final product, each did their part exceptionally well.
I want to especially commend Justin. Not only is he a first-rate craftsman but also a pleasure to work with and a pleasure to be around. He worked hard and his attitude every day was never anything but positive and up-beat. He never resented our questions or suggestions. He is a fine young man. I hope that he will be working on our next project.
We will be calling you soon about the second stage of our re-modeling - the guest bathroom. We wouldn't even consider having another company do the job.
